Station to station

Station to Station, made up of 62 one-minute films, is a fast moving road trip through modern creativity and it offers a different perspective on the concept of land art. An artist, a musician, a place or a perspective, revealing a larger sense of common expression transcending the individual voices. Over 24 days, the Station to Station train (as a light sculpture designed by Doug Aitken) traveled 4,000 miles from the Atlantic to the Pacific. As it stopped in large cities and remote locations, a constantly changing group of artists, musicians and performers (Beck, Olafur Eliasson, Ed Ruscha, Thomas Demand, Dan Deacon, Savages and Suicide, Patty Smith and others) created a series of great happenings.
